Frequently Asked Questions
A few common questions about my bookkeeping and back-office support, pricing, and how we can work together.

A bookkeeper handles the day-to-day tracking of income, expenses, and financial records to keep your books organized and up to date.
An accountant typically uses those records for higher-level financial analysis, tax planning, or other accounting services.

QuickBooks Online is the primary bookkeeping platform I work with. If your business currently uses spreadsheets or another system, we can discuss your setup and determine what would work best for your bookkeeping needs.

I primarily work with small, owner-operated and service-based businesses. My services are designed for businesses that need help keeping their bookkeeping and behind-the-scenes administrative work organized as they run and grow their business.
-
To get a better understanding of your business, I’ll ask a few basic questions about your current bookkeeping setup, the number of bank and credit card accounts you use, and what you would most like help with.
If we decide to work together, I’ll let you know what additional information or access I need to get started.

Pricing varies based on the amount and complexity of the work involved. I offer monthly packages with clear starting prices, along with custom pricing for additional back-office support. You can view the options and starting prices on the Packages page.
-
The Starter Package is designed to give new and very small businesses affordable bookkeeping support while they get established. After six months, we’ll review your transaction volume, bookkeeping needs, and overall level of support.
Moving beyond the Starter Package does not automatically mean moving to the $250/month Solo Business Package. If your business is still small and your bookkeeping needs remain simple, we’ll discuss an appropriate next-step rate based on your needs.
-
An occasional higher-volume month doesn’t necessarily mean you need to change packages. If additional bookkeeping time is required, a small additional fee may apply. If your transaction volume consistently exceeds the Starter Package limit, we’ll review your bookkeeping needs and discuss the best ongoing option with you before making any changes.
